Protected area "Poda", Burgas

The protected area Poda is located about 4 km south of Bourgas, next to the road to Sozopol. It is one of the richest places in Europe with birds with 274 species per 1 sq. Km (1/4 of all species found on the continent). It is managed by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) through the Poda Nature Conservation Center, which is one of the 100 national tourist sites. The center is open for visits all year round, offers binoculars and binoculars from the terraces, there is a walking route. Rare and endangered species such as Dalmatian pelicans, small cormorants, sea eagles and others can be seen here. The center has a small souvenir and beverage shop and an exhibition hall.
