Pantheon, Burgas

The Pantheon Monument is located in the Sea Garden of Burgas.

The Pantheon in the Sea Garden is one of the emblematic monuments of Burgas. It was built in 1981 as a memorial to the fallen anti-fascists. The author of the monument is the sculptor Valentin Starchev, and the designer of the urban planning is the architect Vladimir Milkov. Before the changes in 1989, "eternal fire" was burning in the central part, and during the daylight hours in front of the symbolic entrance of the monument there was an honor guard of students dressed in naval uniforms and armed with replicas of AK-47. The square around the monument forms the approach to the exposition part of the sea garden, where the flower exhibition "Flora Burgas" is held.
