"Tohun" Wine Cellar, Pomorie
Viticulture and winemaking in today's Pomorie dates back to antiquity, where wine was produced in the first century BC and if the traditions and exceptionally favorable natural factors - sunshine and refreshing sea breezes, we will understand why Pomorie is one of the most interesting wine terroirs in Bulgaria.
TOHUN Wine Cellar is the inheritor of traditions in wine production.
The beginning was set in 2000 for the realization of a dream and a difficult task to connect the millennial traditions and modern wine production.
65 ha of vineyards are planted, located in the East - Black Sea region with the varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
In 2009 VI TOHUN was built, which is located on the main road from Bourgas to Pomorie, with convenient transport access and permanently open doors.
Its architecture is in the style of the proto-Bulgarian tents - TOHUN is the proto-Bulgarian name of Pomorie.
In the same year the first grape harvest and the first harvest were realized.
With each subsequent harvest, the quality of the wines increases and this is appreciated by wine lovers.
Investments are made in quality improvement, processes are optimized and new technologies are introduced. The main goal of VI TOHUN is to create high quality and unique wines from their own vineyards. A sip of TOHUN's guilt evokes emotions that are sealed in the heart and cannot be forgotten.
