Aviation Museum, Burgas

The first Air Exhibition in Burgas was established in 1998. The idea was realized on the initiative of the then management of Bourgas Airport led by the director Kalin Barzov. The main goal was to collect aircraft that are part of the history of Bulgarian civil aviation. The exhibition consisted of two expositions of 1000 sq.m. indoor and 5000 outdoor area. At the very entrance of the museum proudly sat the vertical stabilizer of one of the first Tu-134 in Bulgaria, as well as the agricultural An-2 with registration LZ-1089. Indoors, visitors could see the small planes, Mi-2 helicopter and drones, as well as a collection of models of aircraft. The purpose of the photo exhibition was to acquaint the visitors with the history of Bourgas Airport and the development of civil aviation in Bulgaria. In the exhibition areas there was a specially provided room for projection of video materials with a volume of 45 seats, and the flooring was solved with a special wear-resistant flooring to withstand the weight of the aircraft.
